Dizzee Rascal

Dizzee Rascal

East London superstar Dizzee Rascal has been confirmed as a headliner at this summer's Eden Sessions. He will play at the home of the famous Biomes on Saturday June 21.

Dizzee, also known as Dylan Mills, released his fifth studio album The Fifth in September last year and it became his fourth consecutive record to peak in the top ten in the UK. The Fifth spawned the top ten singles Goin' Crazy, featuring Robbie Williams, and Something Really Bad, featuring will.i.am. To date, he has released four number one singles, all from his fourth album Tongue n' Cheek. Boy in da Corner, Dizzee's 2003 debut, won that year's Mercury Prize, an award for which he was nominated again in 2007 for his third record Maths + English and in 2010 for his follow-up album Tongue n' Cheek. In 2010 he was named Best British Male Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards.

Confirming his place at the top table of UK music, Dizzee was one of the artists to perform at the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is the first headliner to be announced for the Eden Project's 2014 Eden Sessions. She will perform against the stunning backdrop of Eden's famous Biomes on Tuesday July 8.

The BRIT-winning singer-songwriter released her debut studio album Lights in 2010 and followed it up with Halcyon in 2012.

Both albums peaked at number one in the UK album chart and went double-platinum. Last year, Halcyon was re-released with ten additional tracks as Halcyon Days. These included How Long Will I Love You?, which became last year's BBC Children in Need single, and her first number one single, Burn, which has since racked up nearly 160 million views on YouTube.

General ticket sales will commence on Tuesday 4th February 2014 at 4pm. Until this time tickets will only be available to inside track members.

Elbow

Elbow

Manchester band Elbow have been confirmed for the 2014 Eden Sessions, one of just a handful of UK shows they will play this summer.

The five-piece will be playing at the Eden Project on Monday July 14. The show will follow the recent release of their hotly-anticipated sixth studio album The Take Off and Landing of Everything.

Their latest album follows 2011's platinum-selling Build a Rocket Boys! and 2008's triple-platinum Mercury Music Prize-winning The Seldom Seen Kid.

Following the use of their anthemic One Day Like This during the Beijing Olympics in 2008, the BBC commissioned Elbow to compose the theme for their covering of 2012's London games. First Steps was recorded with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The band also performed at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

Elbow have been lavished with critical plaudits and awards, including a BRIT Award for Best British Group, the NME Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music and two Ivor Novello Awards, as well as being nominated for the Mercury Music Prize on three separate occasions, winning the award in 2008.
