Manchester band Elbow have been confirmed for the 2014 Eden Sessions, one of just a handful of UK shows they will play this summer.
The five-piece will be playing at the Eden Project on Monday July 14. The show will follow the recent release of their hotly-anticipated sixth studio album The Take Off and Landing of Everything.
Their latest album follows 2011's platinum-selling Build a Rocket Boys! and 2008's triple-platinum Mercury Music Prize-winning The Seldom Seen Kid.
Following the use of their anthemic One Day Like This during the Beijing Olympics in 2008, the BBC commissioned Elbow to compose the theme for their covering of 2012's London games. First Steps was recorded with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The band also performed at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.
Elbow have been lavished with critical plaudits and awards, including a BRIT Award for Best British Group, the NME Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music and two Ivor Novello Awards, as well as being nominated for the Mercury Music Prize on three separate occasions, winning the award in 2008.
Please Note: At the request of Elbow, tickets will go on sale to fans in Cornwall and Devon only. Tickets will then go on general sale, subject to availability, to the rest of the country at 6pm on Tuesday 22 April.
